SUPPORTING STUDENT SUCCESS

IES College offers a small number of scholarships and bursaries for students who demonstrate one or more of the IB Learner Profile Attributes and the potential to derive benefit from an IES College education.

To be eligible for scholarship and bursary opportunities, students are required to have an existing application for enrolment at the time scholarships are selected in December each year.

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP

IES College offers Academic Scholarships for high achieving students entering Year 10 and Year 11. To be eligible for an Academic Scholarship, a candidate must:

  • meet the College entry requirements.
  • have attended a school tour (either in person of virtually),
  • have submitted a complete Enrolment Application, including any required supporting documentation such as previous Academic Results, and
  • perform at an exceptional level (as determined by the Principal) in the Edutest Examination.

The Edutest Examination provides meaningful and reliable testing and diagnostic data on student academic performance, including verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, reading comprehension, and mathematics. The scholarship exam for 2024 applications will be conducted online at IES College in early December 2023.

Students who are awarded a scholarship are expected to meet the terms and conditions outlined in the Scholarships Guidelines.

EQUAL OPPORTUNITY BURSARY

IES College offers Equal Opportunity Bursaries to provide financial support for students whose families experience financial barriers which might prevent them joining the IES College community. To be eligible for a bursary allocation, a candidate must:

  • meet the College entry requirements,
  • have attended a school tour (either in person of virtually),
  • have submitted a complete Enrolment Application, including any required supporting documentation such as previous Academic Results, and
  • submit a written statement desribing the financial barriers and the potential for the student to contribute and commit to IES College’s academic, cocurricular, and leadership values.

Students who are provided a bursary are expected to meet the terms and conditions outlined in the Scholarships Guidelines.

APPLICATION PROCESS

All applications for scholarships or bursary allocations are reviewed by the Principal. Families will be notified of the outcome of their application in writing.

Applicants need to meet IES College enrolment requirements before a scholarship or bursary is awarded.

Important Note:

Submitting a scholarship or bursary application does not guarantee an enrolment to IES College.

SCHOLARSHIP AND BURSARY REVIEW

Scholarship and Bursary recipient’s progress is reviewed at regular intervals by the Principal. A student’s ongoing eligibility is dependent upon the following:

  • maintenance of academic performance,
  • compliance with the IES College Code of Conduct,
  • participation in co-curriculuar activities, and
  • positive contribution to the IES College culture.
