QUEENSLAND CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION

Commencing in 2025, IES College will offer the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) as one of the pathway options for our Year 11 and 12 students, with syllabuses that are underpinned by 21st century skills. The courses have been designed to prepare our students for a changing world that encompasses innovation, entrepreneurship, lifelong learning and global citizenship. The QCE allows students to choose from a range of learning options to suit their interests and career goals. To receive a QCE, students must study a minimum of 5 subjects and achieve the set amount of learning, at the set standard, in a set pattern, while meeting literacy and numeracy requirements. This handbook outlines the subject offerings available to Year 11 and 12 students. Prospective families are encouraged to use the subject information in this handbook to help them consider and design their studies.

For more information on subject offerings, subject selection and requirements for the QCE Program, please read our QCAA (Queensland Curriculum and Assessent Authority) Subject Handbook.
