QUEENSLAND CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION

CREATIVE INDUSTRIES AND HUMANTIES 

Commencing in 2025, IES College will offer the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) as one of the pathway options for our Year 11 and 12 students, with syllabuses that are underpinned by 21st century skills. The courses have been designed to prepare our students for a changing world that encompasses innovation, entrepreneurship, lifelong learning and being a responsible global citizen.

The QCE allows students to choose from a range of learning options to suit their interests and career goals. To receive a QCE, students must study a minimum of 5 subjects and achieve the set amount of learning, at the set standard, in a set pattern, while meeting literacy and numeracy requirements.

Program Design
At IES College, English and General Mathematics are core subjects, and therefore are compulsory for all students selecting this program. Students then select 3 or 4 additional subjects following the guide below:
